Deerwood Fire Summerfest 5k & 10k

Deerwood, MN

The Deerwood Fire Summerfest 5K/10K is a chance to challenge yourself in the individual race or team up and enter the team contest.  Dress up as a hero and start the races with the firefighters in their gear.  Also, there will be extra challenges throughout the course to add to the fun.  This is a family friendly event and strollers are allowed. The course starts and finishes at the Deerwood Fire Station and takes you on an out and back course along the south shore of Serpent Lake. New this year a Zer0k has been added to the fun!

The Fire Challenge is a team event and will require the team to work together to complete their task, such as pulling a hose line etc. If successful, they will receive a ticket for scoring. These challenges are going to be an extra physical challenge. The team must all register together and there will be one team score. The fastest team will win!

There will also be a backdrop to have a photo in front of with firefighting props. A fire extinguisher demonstration will be available for people to try too.

The kid races will follow the 5k & 10k and will be increasing in length for the 4 & under, 5-8 and 9-12 year olds. Come have some fun and accept the challenge!

Must be registered by July 27th to guarantee a race shirt.

All proceeds help support the Deerwood Fire Relief Asscociation, an organization that supports the mission of the Deerwood Fire Department.
