The Deerwood Fire Summerfest 5K/10K is a chance to challenge yourself while giving back to your community at the same time. This is a family friendly event and strollers are allowed. The course starts and finishes at the Deerwood Fire Station and takes you on an out and back course along the south shore of Serpent Lake. Kids 12 and under race the 5k or 10k at no cost! You can purchase a race shirt for an additional $12.00 during online registration if you are interested! Also available for kids who are looking to run a bit shorter of a distace, a Juniors race will follow the 5k & 10k race finish. There will be distances that increase in length for ages 4 & under, 5-8 and 9-12 year olds.Must be registered by August 3rd to guarantee a race shirt. All proceeds help support the Deerwood Fire Relief Association, an organization that supports the mission of the Deerwood Fire Department.
Race Day Schedule:
10K will start at 8:30 am
5K will start at 9:00 am or when all 10K participants have left the starting area.
Junior races will begin after the last participant has returned to the finish line.
There will be no formal awards ceremony. Award winners will be announced via loud speaker.
There will be no refunds issused for any reason. We appreciate your support of the Deerwood Fire Relief Association.
